About Our Founder

Richard Davis, Founder of McClain Group, has over 30 years of experience in executive management and consulting.

In 1992, he founded the McClain Group to provide services in executive placement, human resource consulting, and management training and development. While managing McClain Group, Richard served as Vice President of Human Resources for Barnes Healthcare Services.

Richard is a Strategic Business Partner with Profiles International – the leader in behavioral based assessments in the employee development industry. His extensive experience in sales, operations, and human resources gives him a full understanding of the business operations cycle, allowing him to develop talent management strategies for clients that positively impact the bottom line and ROI.

Richard’s goal is to provide added value services with every client engagement.

Prior to McClain Group, Richard’s successes include:

  • Founding partner in Paragon Ventures, LLC and served as Vice President. Paragon specialized in healthcare mergers and acquisitions with offices in SC, PA, NY, CA, and FL. During his tenure the company completed 52 transactions valued in excess $250 million.
  • Richard also worked with Support Systems International, now Hill-Rom, a Hillenbrand Industries company. During his tenure with Hill-Rom, Richard served as the New England Regional Director based in Boston, MA where he managed the operations of 15 offices in 6 states.
  • Richard was the National Operations Director for Support Systems International in Canada where he managed offices in Vancouver, BC; Calgary, AB; Montreal, PQ; Halifax, NS; and Toronto, ON. Richard also held operations management positions in Tennessee and South Carolina.
  • Richard was certified in Targeted Selection behavioral interviewing and obtained his Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) from the Society for Human Resource Management.
  • Richard received his bachelor degree in Business Administration from The Citadel.
